Cleaning and Rejuvenation
Processes
SCR-Tech applies Cleaning & Rejuvenation processes to lightly
or severely plugged or blinded catalyst that may have limited
deactivation from catalyst poisons, or as part of the full ReGen™ process
for severely poisoned and deactivated catalyst. The Cleaning & Rejuvenation
processes eliminate materials physically plugging the catalyst
in order to improve NOx reduction efficiency and remove poisons,
thereby extending the useful life of the catalyst.

Ultrasonic
Cleaning:
Our patented ultrasonic cleaning technique deep cleans
the catalyst pores to remove physical and microscopic
pluggage.

Rejuvenation:Catalyst
modules are soaked, washed and rinsed in a series of temperature
and pH-controlled baths that eliminate physical restrictions
(e.g., blinding layers, large particle and fly ash) and
remove catalyst poisons contributing to catalyst deactivation
such as arsenic, phosphorus, thallium, sodium, potassium
and calcium. The catalyst is then prepared for regeneration,
if required.

Limitations
SCR-Tech’s Cleaning & Rejuvenation processes cannot
cure reutilization, erosion, abrasion or other physical and/or
structural damage to the catalyst, or restore catalyst activity
levels. For full restoration of catalyst activity, our
regeneration process may be applied.
