SCR-Tech headquarters, plant and warehousing facilities

Our principle business operations are located in Charlotte, North Carolina at the Mt. Holly East Industrial Park.

Our Charlotte facility consists of approximately 100,000 square feet of office, production, laboratory and warehouse space, including:

  • 28,800 sq. ft. production facility for catalyst cleaning and regeneration
  • 33,700 sq. ft warehouse for catalyst storage
  • 3,000 sq. ft. of office space
  • 1,200 sq. ft. laboratory facility
  • On-site wastewater treatment facility

Production Capacity

We are capable of cleaning and fully restoring activity to 10-12 catalyst modules per shift and, if necessary, we have sufficient supplementary staff to run multiple shifts per day, seven days a week, with an annual capacity of 5,000 m3 of catalyst volume.

Storage Capacity

SCR-Tech has approximately 33,700 square feet of storage space capable of housing more than 1,000 catalyst modules. Additional storage space is available in another on-site building, and off-site storage can be made available as well.

It is essential that catalyst be stored in a catalyst-friendly dry environment that will prevent deterioration, further deactivation, or the solidification of fly ash and popcorn ash into a hard conglomerate on the catalyst surface. Our storage facility is a steel and concrete structure located adjacent to our regeneration plant and consists of a receiving office, final inspection station, and packaging / shipping areas.

Additional warehouse space and laboratory space is available on-site and can be added as needed.

Waste Treatment

While our cleaning and regeneration services involve the removal of hazardous wastes from catalyst and the use of significant chemical materials, our on-site State and EPA-approved waste water treatment plant ensures that our operations are in full environmental compliance.

Solid wastes are collected in a filter press. These include heavy metals and fly ash. All are rendered benign, tested to prove their acceptability for land fill and disposed in a licensed fill. Thus no hazardous wastes are generated by our operations.
